FAQ

Q: Who runs this blog?
A: Your friendly neighborhood ASYC!
Q: What is an ASYC?
A: Not what, but who. We are the Associated Students of Yuba College, and we act as the student government.

Q: What does the ASYC do?
A: Mostly, we goof off. We do lots of important things like hosting No Shave November, Earth Day, monthly Movie Nights, and lots of other fun events. We are here for the students. We want to make your time here at Yuba College fun! We feel that just because Yuba College is a transfer school does not make it OK for your college experience to be put on hold until you transfer to Davis or Chico or Humboldt or wherever you dream about. We are here to form the diverse student and faculty body into a community. We also give out free ice cream...

Q: Why "Keep Yuba College Weird"?
A: Have you looked around? We have a pretty interesting community here on campus...and off campus. Yuba College is a great place to be. This campus has served our community for the past (insert correct number here...) years. Yuba College has transformed lives, given new meaning, and instilled hope into otherwise hopeless situations. Yes, we have people with tattoos...on their faces. Yes, we have students who rap on their way to class. Yes, we have students who ask their philosophy professors when they will get into the section "where we learn magic with our minds". We have weirdos, and we like it. We think it is important to keep Yuba College weird. Still have questions? Let us explain, further.
